Being the awe-inspiring pop culture fanatic that I am, I naturally chose to write about my favorite celebrity meltdowns and what celebrities should and should not do during them.

So I have been given the AMAZING opportunity to attend the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas this weekend! I am actually going to be a seat filler, so me and my friend Cynthia, who will be attending with me, will be sitting pretty much in an obstructed view area but when someone leaves or doesn't show up to their seat(s) on the floor section that would be visible to anyone viewing from home, we would be placed into those seats so it doesn't look like there are empty seats! Now it's not really guaranteed that I'll be given a floor seat to fill but it is still a FREE ticket, so it'll still be worth it! I'll definitely be sharing my experience as soon as I get back, because I definitley want to keep all the listeners updated on how it went!

My last day is here :( Can’t believe that I’ve been here 13 weeks already, it completely flew by! Seems like yesterday I was packing up everything for the move to Phoenix from Indiana to start my new adventure. This summer has been one of the best summers I’ve ever had and it can never be surpassed. I learned so much from this internship not only from writing for social media, editing, and meeting all the celebs(; but how to get lost in this huge city, how to drive during rush hour, and how to deal with the heat. My three months here was absolutely perfect and it was by far the best decision I’ve ever made. Now I’m moving to Orlando for my next big adventure with an internship for Disney.
I just want to thank Johnjay and Rich for giving me this amazing opportunity and opening my eyes up to the radio world. BIG THANKS to Producer Bill for all of the laughs from his epic rants because they made getting up so early much better. AND I can’t forget about the two most important people Shannon and Joey, thank you both for teaching me so much and answering my questions that I ask every two seconds.
I’m still in awe that I’m writing this, I’m so sad this is over. && Good luck to all the new in-coming interns, be ready to get up early and have a great semester because it goes by fast!
-Intern Morgan or (aka to JJR- Heiress to the Wood Chopper, whichever is fine hahahha)

It's summer and while us interns are hard at work here at Johnjay and Rich ,we're taking some time to reminisce on our past vacations! Check out some of our favorite, scariest and craziest travel stories!
I was overseas in the Philippines two summers ago, visiting family and being a tourist when the craziest accident of my life went down. Literally, “Mission Impossible” meets “Charlie’s Angels” status.
Unlike the U.S., the Philippines has a different means of transportation. Metro buses are replaced by open aired jeepneys, taxis are converted to a side cart attached to a motorcycle and cars are downsized to a single motorbike, which in my case was able to fit my 2 cousins and I!
Now, before I continue with this story, keep in mind that this was my fourth drive on a motorbike and I was undoubtedly on a level below an amateur.
So, we were going on a joy ride, but in my mind I was having a déjà vu of being on a Vespa in Italy, cruising down a cobble stone path amongst the ruins, with my arms around a hot European guy. This was so much more fun than accepting the reality that I was actually skimming amongst rice patties, worn down houses and driving with my 2 cousins who were clinging to my flowing floral dress.
As we distanced ourselves from our house, I suddenly had a taste for speed. If you haven’t been on a bike before, 35 MPH seems like a Nascar raceway in comparison to being in my usual compact car and as 35 came along, 40 sounded better, then 45 and finally 50 MPH.
This was when my cousin, knowing little English, gestured for me to slow down and turn around. As I released the gas, apparently it wasn’t quick enough, so she made a move and grabbed the brakes for herself.
The bike jerked, causing it to sporadically flip on its side and careen to a sketchy skid towards a deep rice canal. My cousins were miraculously able to jump off from the back of the bike while my leg was sucked under the side of the motorbike.
With half of the bike’s wheel already going over the edge, I figured this would be the death of me!
But out of some miracle from a higher power, the bike halted with over half of the machine itself tilting over the edge & the lower half of me completely immovable under the weight of what seemed like an elephant.
My cousins quickly ran to my side and unearthed the motorcycle to find my leg banged up and bloody.
To this day there are the remains of an intense road rash up my leg and a leftover gash on my elbow from crashing into the loose gravel!
Told you it was crazy! Definitely a trip to the Philippines I never plan to forget or ever try again!
VIVE LA FRANCE
My favorite vacations have been the times I’ve been to Europe! Last year, I spent two weeks travelling around Switzerland with my family and LOVING every minute of it. There’s nothing like seeing the Matterhorn up close and personal! Three years ago, though, I went to France and had one of my most interesting vacation experiences to date. To set the scene: It was Bastille Day, France’s national holiday, and I was in Paris with my family. In the evening, we headed over to the Trocadero for a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower and the fireworks over it. As you can imagine, it was INSANELY crowded. So, when the fireworks ended, there were thousands of people just waiting in line to get on the Metro. While we were waiting, these three French guys started pushing the crowd, causing people around us to fall over. It was so annoying, and when one of the guys walked up to me and started literally ramming his body into me, trying for some unknown reason to push me over, I fought back! I started punching him in the stomach to get him away from me, and he was NOT happy about it. He yelled something that even my French minor-self couldn’t translate. Then, he SPIT IN MY FACE. Yep, a huge wad of spit landed on my cheek, a little in my mouth and some of it even flew onto my shoulder. It was SO.DISGUSTING. After that wonderful display, he disappeared into the crowd and I hopped on the Metro. I can tell you that a shower has never felt so good than when you’re disinfecting yourself from some random person’s saliva.
TOMORROWLAND: A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE
My whole life, I’ve been pretty shy and anxious. I threw myself into school and extra curriculars to make up for the fact that I was too self-conscious to make any real friends. I rarely went out, had a hard time talking to guys, and couldn’t even eat in public without feeling like everyone was staring at me. To be frank, I was miserable and a loser. BUT, last year I was lucky enough to be able to go to one of the world’s largest raves called Tomorrowland in Belgium. Every year about 230,000 people from 75 countries attend the 5-day show that features over 400 DJs on 15 different EDM stages. I can honestly say that I believe that attending Tomorrowland was a significant part in the reshaping of my personality and my view on the world. At the festival, I was exposed to an enormous variety of people that were so genuinely happy to just be alive in that very moment. People were friendly and though many people stayed in tents without locks on them, nothing was stolen from my tent or from the tents of my 30 newfound festival friends. For five days I was completely submerged in a place where good and joy were dominant, and it gave me a completely new perspective on life and on people. It inspired my upcoming spinal tattoo which would quote a Persian philosopher: “Be happy for this moment, this moment is for life.” Basically, I can once again believe in the goodness of people and in taking life and appreciating it for what it is one moment at a time thanks to Tomorrowland.
DISASTERS IN MEXICO
Growing up my family didn't go to any really fancy vacations. Disneyland was our usual and I thought that was amazing! Still do, who doesn't love the happiest place on earth!
But when I was 15 we took my first trip out of the country. We went to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. This trip was sure to be amazing! But....not so much. Being a food-lover I was especially excited to eat as much as I wanted whenever I wanted. We got some bad news after having our first meal. The food was awful! Like not just kind of bad like really really disgusting bad! They put hot dogs on their pizza?! What!?
Then people started getting sick.Three of the people with us got so sick they had to get giant shots in their butt! Luckily I was not one of them.
After a few days in Mexico we decided to spice things up literally! My dad dared me to eat the hottest pepper in Mexico for 20 dollars. Anyone who knows me knows I love money and couldn't resist this challenge. After eating this pepper my mouth was on fire! But the worst part was they didn't have regular milk they only had goats milk?! My mouth burned for hours and my stomach didn't feel so great for a couple days :).
Overall the trip was a disaster. It rained the entire time, the beach was closed, the food was awful and everyone kept getting sick! But, we still managed to make the best of the trip and had some fun!
