Ashton Kutcher walked onto the stage at the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night wearing a bright red Western blazer with white piping, large silver belt buckle, and a black cowboy hat pulled down close to his eyes.
The actor sang a few lines from George Strait's "I Cross My Heart" and then handed out the ACM trophy for Female Vocalist of the Year to Miranda Lambert. She graciously accepted, but then later had doubts about the actor's sincerity.
Miranda tweeted: "Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me? Watching it back now and I'm kinda wondering?"
Justin Moore added: "Seen Ashton kutcher at the acms tonight. What a douche! I don't care for people making a mockery of the way country artists' dress."
Kutcher responded on Twitter, with a message for Miranda:
"I Am One Of The biggest country Music fans you've ever met. Wasn't making fun at all."
Followed by the next tweet: "btw congratulations again."
