So most of you know me as Shannon Beaver on the show....my daily task is answering phone and screening calls. You can also hear me on Meeting in the Ladies Room....thank you drunk girls! 

 

However, I recently dived into a new task as Rich Berra's "Personal Assistant". As you can imagine, I was very excited to take on this task. Rich has always been someone I looked up to. But I did not expect the nature of some of the tasks I would be taking on...I never expected to be dog sitting Jango on a Saturday night. (Note to self do NOT get that puppy you wanted!) 

 

Don't get me wrong, I had a blast however...I'm pretty sure the dog drank more of my energy drink than I did which equals a scary situation. One thing I have love getting to do is spending time with the Berra family. Rich's wife and children are extremely lovely people. Christopher talks to me every time I call....our last conversation consist of Thomas the Train and the zombie acoplosy (or so I think). 

 

The most interesting this I have been able to do is clean our Rich's office at the station. Now you might think...how could this be interesting? 

 

Well, it gave me deep insight into Rich's mind and I discovered he might have a personal obsession with....TEETH!!! Now I understand why Rich has such pearly white but seriously this was on another level. 

 

After spending 45 minutes with my head buried my Rich desk I discovered 7 bottle of tooth paste, 10 tooth brushes, 5 packs of floss, 3 HUGE bottles of teeth whitener, and countless packs have half eaten whitening gum. The best part is 90% of the content has been harboring in his desk since 2007. I'm pretty sure at that point most of it has expired....even though Johnjay would beg to differ!  

Because I am now Rich's personal assistant...I feel like I had to make a life decision for him and CUT HIM OFF!!! I threw most of the stuff away only leaving him with the necessary tooth brush and tooth paste. I'm still anxious to hear what he will say when he finds out but I feel I did right with my intervention.

 

Other than that I have been driving to Rich's house a lot which most of you know is FAR!! I did find the gas station that sells weed though and debated buying some for myself (DON'T tell Rich that....he'll repeat it on air!!) 

 

I do give Rich mad props for his CD collection....it covers an entire wall and is actually in alphabetical order! Also I stumbled upon a mix tape collection that he made for someone back in the day. However, I was told if I ever reveal it's contents I will be killed! (Seriously loves his music!) 

 

I've been enjoying the daily challenges Rich throws my way. They are sometimes anything but ordinary but also better than any other job I'd have....I could be Johnjay's assistant : / (JK)
